Beautiful Lyfe Travel was born from a dream shared by Ken and Susan Lord – a dream of exploring the world together and helping others do the same. For 40 years, Ken served his community as a firefighter, rising to the rank of Battalion Chief in charge of training and EMS. He dedicated his life to protecting others, and as he approaches retirement this December, he’s ready to hang up his helmet and become a full-time travel advisor. In fact, for the past 7 years, Ken and Susan have been quietly building their travel business on the side, turning their passion for travel into a second career. What started as a hope for post-retirement adventures has grown into Beautiful Lyfe Travel, a family-run travel agency devoted to crafting unforgettable journeys for the 55+ community.

Ken’s transition from the firehouse to travel planning is a natural extension of his lifelong commitment to service. In his four decades as a first responder, Ken learned the importance of trust, empathy, and careful planning under pressure.
